Louie Dean Valencia-García is an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow at the Museum of the City of New York and has recently received his Ph.D. in the Department of History of Fordham University. He studies cultural history, contemporary European history, and everyday dissent in youth and subaltern cultures in contemporary history. He has researched, presented, and written extensively on questions related to the creation of democratic and pluralistic space in contemporary history.
